Really hard to say for sure. My gut says no but have seen deer die rather quickly from much worse shots if a main artery is involved. Not much for main arteries in that area but still very possible depending on the shot angle. The spine dips down a bit there and surprised the arrow didn’t nick it. Deer looked to be running just fine.

There is always a chance but I’m going with no. I’ve seen more than a few show back up on cams after a similar shot. Above the spine and maybe through one or both shoulder blades but little damage done IMO.

I voted no. Right after watching the video the 1st time. In full screen mode.

Someone mentioned they saw blood coming out both sides. I watched it several more times and I just didn't think I saw any blood coming out of it. Also after seeing a few other posts I got to wondering. I'm thinking this deer may have died and actually been recovered. Why else even bring it to our attention!

Lets think big here. I think a lot of guys are trying to read into this as if I have an angle or something. I just thought it would be good to show for learning sake because a lot of guys have these issues or have hits similar to this and never know what happens, but are never able to document it like I have in my case. I thought it would make for a good discussion as I do not contribute as much as I would like on the forum.
