I think I forgot to add the kids and I. It was another great year spent afield.

Still new to the forum so sorry for the late post.
This buck marks deer number one for me as an archery hunter and was taken day two of my first season.
Thanks for all the help, beasts!!

Popped this buck at 15 yards, give-or-take, through a tree while ground hunting. Nov 11th I think. -11F. Zombie rut buck walked right by me heading into an area does like to bed. Had 5 on one side. I added brows in my brain and figured 6 to a side... might be a 12pt! Nope. No brows. And only 3 on the other side. I only had a second to decide and shoot. It was awesome! I couldn't figure out why the entrance wound was so nasty, so I went back later and found where I had shot through the tree. .270 with 140gr Hornady SST.

Congrats to everyone on great seasons! I look forward to sharing with you all and seeing future posts. Great stories and excellent hunts. You all worked hard for those bucks.

October 31st Iowa public land
He came in to some rattling then hung out about 80 yards making a scrape and looking for the action. A couple soft grunts brought him in for a bow shot.

November 20th Nebraska
An intense 2 hour spot and stalk on 3 mulie bucks and several does got me within 70 yards for the shot

November 3rd on my brother's farm, he came cruising down the edge of the hardwoods ridge and over grown pasture
