October 25th - Wisconsin Public Land. Hunting suspected bedding along a thick ridge. This guy and his brother came right to me at 5:00. On their feet early with the snow and perfect wind!

10/25/20 High pressure lower michigan public land buck. Went in blind to a spot I map scouted previously and ended up finding a lot of tracks and a few fresh scrapes. Hunting on the point of a peninsula that jutted out into a swamp. There was a ton of diversity as a swamp, lake, and cornfield all met within 100 yards of my spot. I found several tree stands but decided to hunt anyways and ended up shooting this buck with an hour of light left and he was only 10 yards from somebody else's stand. He was moving off at 50 yards and I grunted him in to 25yards. He was a 2.5 yr old 8 pointer that had busted off two tines on his left side.

Oklahoma public land ground and pound 35 yard shot with a bow, October 27

Oct 28 10:15am 12 yard shot. Both lungs and heart. Public MTN buck.

Shot this buck October 29 at 5:12 PM.
I was doing a afternoon hunt and before I got to the location the amount of deer sign said hunt here. He even came in on the only way in as I did three hours later.
Found a tree to hang the stand in by a fresh hot scrape. Mobile hunting as its advantages and been doing it for 32 years. He went 50 yards and I got to see him fall! Now I have to deal with buck fever for three weeks.
Some this doesn’t matter but he grossed 158 7/8 with a 14 inch spread.
I have TC pics of him for the last three years and it’s been fun seeing him grow.

I was able to get it done on Halloween in Wisconsin. A doe came flying through and about a minute later he came in but busted me. He still gave me a shot but I missed low. (34 yards abouts) He then walked to my right to try and get around and winded me. Turned around and almost walked to the same spot I had taken a shot. Except he was facing me. He then decided to give it another try to go around me again. This time he stopped about the same distance 40 yards to my right. Head behind a tree and body in full view the 2nd shot hit its mark. Found him about 50 yards later down in a ravine. My son Cole got his first buck ever and first bow kill the evening before. I wanted to pull a double so bad and it just happened to work out.

DE public 11/2/20 8:13 am.Still hunting into were I planned on setting up in a tree this morning and me and guy decided to come face to face at about 10 yards walking towards one another. I was wide open. Had to nock an arrow and drew back with him looking right at me. I had to shoot him frontal and had time to settle the pin right in that little triangle between the brisket and the leg. Hit him perfect and blood was just pouring out of him on impact. He ran 30 yards and crashed. Would have never taken that shot from a tree but felt good about it given the circumstances. When I was field dressing him I noticed that I center punched his heart. Talk about a morning pick me up
