Where would you hunt?
Interested in what other people see. That I don't. This about a 1000 acres.

I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

It is river bottoms with some hilly areas with few pine thickets mixed in.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Re: Where would you hunt?
I would like to scout these spots first.. Maybe find some sign that could lead me in a direction. Maybe not hunt here or maybe I would depends on what I find.
I am sure I have no earth shattering tips to share but, my thoughts are. Pinch point on the smaller one and other one looks like it has good transition area. Also the bend in the creek/river peeks my interest. Maybe a higher point followed by a good crossing spot?
I like these "map" topics, really helps me learn.. and that is the real reason I am posting on this topic. Please let me have some feed back, even if you just tell me that I have picked a bad spot.

Re: Where would you hunt?
Really hard to see detail... zooming in would help. but, I would expect the best spots to be in the lowest elevations on this property. Especially with any pressure. I like the S/W corner...

IF you click on it. It will zoom in some Dan.

Re: Where would you hunt?
yea did that... on a property like that I would want to zoom in all the way and look at the slight edges and transitions within that lower area...Ghost Hunter wrote:dan wrote:Really hard to see detail... zooming in would help. but, I would expect the best spots to be in the lowest elevations on this property. Re: Where would you hunt?
Lots of access, might be some nice overlooked or parking lot bedding areas. Seems like I find more of them near junctions or even in smaller areas surrounded roads like U or V shapes areas nobody would ever dream of hunting. They need a good exit too so keep that in mind, big swamp or large thick cover is needed near overlooked stuff.

I agree w everyone else. Also very hard to say w/o being able to zoom on details. I forgot to cirlce another specific spot I liked, also forgot to mark a few features. I agree w Dan I like the SW too. Heres what I like one a quick mark up on lunch. Idk the lines or pressure

Re: Where would you hunt?
I'd take everybody's suggestions, lay them all on the map, then see what's left... overlooked spots

Is there a reason for lowest elevation in this spot other than pressure? Thanks!
