I will take this message to heart. On a scout yesterday a wooded finger at the parking lot stood out. Why a buck might bed there gave a strong message.
The wooded finger will have the thermal tunnel during hunting season, everything in front is overgrown pasture so good visibility and hunters will Park and never look there. The deer knows who comes into the area and when.
So by post season I will have followed up on this location maybe even get lucky.

Re: Hunting near the parking Lot
During the winter directly after season ended I found a mature buck bed only about 50yds from the parking area. It was located on a high elevation hump in the middle of a small pothole marsh.
Hunters never enter this Marsh...in fact the human trail does a huge loop around it on the west side and then the east side is all private property which is where his entrance/exit trails are. Smart buck!
