Re: Ask me a tracking question
I didn’t notice the hock stain until you said it, and yes I was thinking that the curved impression in the snow might have been his main beam. There was a very large track you can see on the top edge of the bed. Just looking for some insight from guys who have seen a lot of buck beds in the snow. Thanks
Always pick a spot!

Re: Ask me a tracking question
Bump. And a new question based on a recent thread.
If a buck is pushed out of his bed by a natural cause (like flooding), would the buck go back and check on it periodically to see if its usable or will he relocate to a new location and return to the previous bed once pushed from the old bed?

Open sights here. Quick target acquisition and I don't want to deal with a scope in falling snow conditions.

Can I nominate this for all time best tactics thread? There is a wealth of great information in this post.

Do you generally find that wounded deer will stick to existing trails versus blazing new ones when hit? I'm thinking in situations when they run across open fields toward timber or towards a marsh.
