I haven't seen anyone post about their use on the Beast, I may have missed it, but I always found it interesting. My string broke a lot while the deer were fleeing, but they gave a great initial trail.

I must have had a spool of extra sticky string! I test fired it a few times and my arrow didn't even hit the target at 20 yards. So I never used it on an animal.

Geesh that was a long time ago!! :o :?

 yep, we are definitely aging ourselves with that subject. At about 15 yards the string tracker started dropping my arrow fast.

Aging, yep, that photo was taken in 1997 and I was 51. I'm now 70 and in the twilight of my hunting career.

I remember having one of those. It was so loud when you shot. Never killed a deer with it on.

The Benoit story of whitetail hunting is one of this nations finest. A good friend of mine named his son Lane for a reason. 8-)

Big 8 from 2013:

Big 9 from 2015. It was in the boat, which was loaded in the bed of my 8' truck bed if that counts:

The first buck I ever killed that got to ride home in "my" truck.

Can't find anymore pics uploaded to my photobucket since that 2008 season. I guess we've completely upgraded the way we do them. They might look cleaner now, but I kind of miss those old tailgate pics

my first archery buck was in an elcamino, in 1989. It was almost exactly like this pic, except I had a single button buck. Well kinda close, we both had elcaminos. Well that was slightly different too because mine was a 1981, which didn't look as tough as the older ones. OK fine, but it was a really big button buck and I had air shocks so I could jack the backend up.

What was it about El Camino's, they were always pretty cool to look at and different from everything else?

This has been such a great thread, no bull... just bucks in trucks, about as real as it gets. 8-)
