The bow holder is an angle bracket & 1 1/2 pvc. The stabilizer goes in the pipe & then bungee the limb down.

The stand rack was some pipe off a clothes hamper!!! It keeps the stand up on a 45 degree angle keeping the stand straps & Molle belt dry.

I debated this heavily this past summer and ended up with a canoe. I like it for the storage capacity and the ease of bringing a deer back with me. I also outfitted with oar sockets to make it easier to row solo. However, I still think a kayak would move quicker through the water, making far away spots a little more accessible. There is an argument to be made for each, but I would probably make the same decision all over again.

I got an Old Town Discovery 133. I'm very happy with the size, quality, and length. The only canoe I would consider upgrading too is a more expensive lightweight kevlar canoe, but Im not interested in spending that kind of money.

Realistically how are y'all getting these deer out in kayaks?

I duck hunt a lot out of a 10' perception and I could not imagine attempting to haul a buck out. No way you could float it out with you either the drag would kill you

Just watched The Hunting Public float out a doe on what looks to be a 12' sit on top. Looked pretty easy. A big buck might be another story.
Let's go Brandon!

I've used a adult raft and tied a doe really tight to it and towed it back. Worked surprisingly well. I think I might bring a air mattress next time.

I tried strapping my stand/sticks on top of the nose of my old town angler 12ft. It made it very unstable. I now just slide them down in as far as I can get them between my legs. I threw together a quick bow holder for the back and I'm good to go. There's no way I'd get a deer out with it though. I'd have to come back in with a canoe. I though about just using the canoe over the kayak, but the kayak is lighter, more nimble, and very quiet so I can slip right in with it undetected.

I'll be modifying mine this winter. I'll be sure to add mine to the list when it's finished.
