Great pic Bridge! Keep us posted on what you get up to...I remember from your podcasts you mention you have a lot of family history hunting swamps and - is it still this way where its a big family affair?

We still hunt public land but in different areas, so we are spread out a bit.

My stand in the rain tomorrow covers a buck bedding area trail that leads to several doe bedding areas... all deep swamp.

Another stand I'm looking forward to is a small step ladder in a flooded area of swamp that I placed some time ago.... no dry ground and no trees for a stand- just thick nastiness. The Bucks in these beds won't go near a tree or dry ground until dark. Safety overrides the rut with this much pressure on the outside of the swamp. The Bucks go out and play after dark.

Should be a good spot as the ladder covers several exits from two buck bedding areas, micro islands. As long as it doesn't ice up too much bedding should be good.

I also have a deep swamp tree that I have killed 4 good bucks out of in gun season... last year I messed up on a Beast that snuck under my tree and I didn't know he was there until too late.

All my hunting is buck bed based because of high pressure.
