I've had my Rivers West gear for a long time.

Supposed to be rain Tomorrow early in the evening... might have to sneak out for that!!

Congrats on the buck.

I also use RW but have not found anything to keep my hands dry, even trying some of the medical gloves either Dewey on Stanley had suggested.

oldrank wrote:I have also noticed the same scenario as you posted above. I think bucks feel more secure moving in bad weather on the public I hunt. I can't say I see bucks everytime it's nasty, but if I see a deer during bad weather it's usually a buck. I think they almost know people won't be out. I also believe they have become conditioned to move mid day. I couldn't tell you how many bucks I've seen over the years sneaking through like a cat between 10 and 2 o'clock.

We've shot a bunch of Bucks between 10 and 2. Many of them were with does during gun season.

Thanx for sharing. Love that it's in the truck. ;) :handgestures-thumbup:

Thanks for reminding me of one of my threads- I think I'll bump it!

On second thought most of the pics are gone due to Photobucket. May have to start a new one.

Congrats Bridge!!

It seems I hunt in the rain a couple times a year. I haven’t seen anything to show hunting is better or worse during rain, but I do know I’d rather bowhunt in it than gun hunt. Due to the scope/rain issue.

I think the security a swamp gives the Bucks helps, add in the rain and many times the Bucks go crazy. I've had as many as 4 different Bucks go by me in the rain over 3 hours. I've also had it rain and observe no activity at all.

In the Swamps I've had enough action to make rain a viable option.
