Zone 3 Iowa

Any thoughts out there on Zone 3 public land in Iowa for out of state deer hunt.

Easier area to draw, less public to choose from, but some giants out there. Not impossible to knock on a door and get access.

I agree with Muddy. Also there is a lot more pressure during the rut which you'd expect. If you're able to hunt some before the rut you will definitely have less competition.

Hey Muddy going back down to scout again next week. Getting a little cold feet about knocking on doors but going to give it a shot. What's your best advice you can give me about knocking on doors. The areas I was thinking about would be close to Oto, Castana, Danbury, Anthon, Correctionville would anything close to the Losses Hills be a waste of time since it has such a good reputation.

Be polite. Most people will be polite back. Always ask if they know anyone who would be receptive to letting someone hunt.

Worst they can say is no. Unless they shoot at you.
