Thanks Dan and Joe !!
I want to thank Dan and Joe for participating in the Public Land Challenge. The Hunting Beast guys, along with The Hunting Public / Tethrd, etc. took the time to video, podcast, post on forums and social media in general.
There was high value throughout their trip in many ways… compared to watching tv or videos of hunting that is unobtainable for the masses, this challenge struck the heart of the average bowhunter, as well as the highly experienced.
I found myself bouncing around on FB, Twitter and other various social media to catch up on the activity of the group. It was exciting and fun… and again, it had so much realism in comparison the vast majority of what is out there. This activity, bouncing around on social media, is very unusual for me and it speaks to the outstanding effort of the group in the challenge.
A final note, their effort inspired countless hunters to hit the woods… perhaps the greatest aspect of their hunt. I know it inspired me to get out there and challenge myself as I hunted a new public land area for me.
Thanks Dan and Joe for a job well done !!

yes. It was so fun to watch, and as always, learned!

Well said SB. This is real life hunting and it's exciting. Kill or no kill if these shows don't get a guy cranked up to try new areas then nothing will.

Re: Thanks Dan and Joe !!
Agreed with all the sentiments here. Yesterday, I specifically went to an area I thought would have high water just because of the first couple of shows. I suspected there would be activity on adjacent higher ground and was excited about it. Now, I suspected wrong, but I flooded my knee boots a bit (thanks rain gear for keeping them relatively dry) so I had the Beast spirit if nothing else.
It’s definitely good to see people thinking on the fly, dealing with real-life weather conditions and not wimping out and waiting for a dry sunny day. This, to me, is HUNTING, not sitting.
Big deer on the ground would have been nice, but the weather was a major joker.
I enjoyed it.

Last year's challenge got me jacked for the season as well as this year's. It might be becoming a ritual now. I wonder if Dan would do a youtube thing like The Hunting Public does??

Thanks for sure. Sometimes we forget Dan and Joe took vacation from there real jobs to Hunt Michigan early season. You'd have hard time talking most guys into that.
It was great and I was impressed with Michigan.

Kudos to them. They picked the hardest time to kill a good buck imo. They should do volume 2 and come back late oct early nov.

Joe has his wi tag filled. I'm betting he is coming back but I'm not speaking for him. Just a hunch.

A few trips up to the UP would be fun Joe.
Check out Sylvania Wilderness if you want an awesome bigwoods experience. Screw that hunting pressure.
