CARP ARE SPAWNING!!!!

Just got a call from a buddy who was down at Rome pond and said tons of carp are in the river and he shot a monster.
I am heading down there now. I will post a report when I get back.

They were not in there heavy yet, but there starting to spawn and there are a few gigantic females. I shot two that were really big and they pulled themselves off the arrow when I fought them. I was using cheap arrows...
I only managed to get one to shore. But there were a lot of dogfish and I shot one of those too... Carol fished and she had a big pike on 1st cast but it bit off the spinner after a big fight right at the edge of shore.
Lots of pike swimming around...

I was driving along the shore of Green Bay wed. and you could see hundreds of carp, wrestling around.

The big fish have moved in. The bat cave must of had 30 fish in it alone yesterday. By the discarge at the mill. There were a lot of big fish poping in and out. Shot a couple 20#. The electric dam was just as good with hundreds of carp in there. The water was not as clear as rome. There were a few in the 20# range. By next week the fishing should be awesome

Carp are still spawning like crazy on Saginaw Bay- One of the marina's I use is dredged through cattails to access the bay- carp everywhere, I could have shot so many! I didn't see any HUGE carp, but lots of nice ones. The owner, Steve, would have been more than happy to have me shoot as many as I want. No one bow fishes there- Might have get the equipment, that sure looked like it would've been a blast!
