Vacation Trout bonus.

Unread postby Tufrthnails » Fri Jul 15, 2016 10:55 am

Took the family to North Georgia for a vacation with my brother's family at his in-laws cabin. The neighbor took me and my brother out to a couple of his trout spots and we limited out on rainbows all three of our days our license was good for. Lots of fun fishing for those little jokers. Seen a lot of nice bucks up there riding around. Seems the N Ga deer population is thriving. I actually went out on one of the neighbors property that had a large portion of woods on a hillside and found some beds. I took the neighbor back up there to show him since he was nice enough to show us a good time fishing. Spent about 3 hours showing him how I had found the beds and why I was looking where I was looking. It is seriously text book buck bedding. Leeward side of hill 2/3 up the hill each were on little points with drops below them. I had pulled up the topo on my garmin to find them. Just another confirmation for me that the tactics I am learning here actually work.
