Walleyes are in 10-12 FOW sun up til about 10am and they slow down til 3pm til dark,. Got tired of running for boards and they seem to favor the fatheads over regular sucker minnows so switched to jigging and got my 3 in under 40 min.

Had tip-ups out in front of the house for last two hours of day yesterday - not a thing. Solid 4 inches of ice now covering the entire Lower Phantom Lake.

One guy came in (parked in front of my house), and said he got some panfish, nothing great except one nice crappie. . . Nothing on the boards.

Weird first ice on Phantom this year.

Taste good to me. Lot easier to get the bones out!
Not a good idea to throw them back after you run a spear through'em.

All this snow isn't going to make it any easier getting out there.
What a mess!
