Took me 10 minutes with a hair dryer just to get the driver side door open. First time for everything I guess

It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid, than to open it an remove all doubt

Drove through a blizzard to get to the workshop and back through snow on the way home, got a flat tire at 2am this morning, but made it home by 3:30 am. I still felt the workshop was worth it and would do it again.

Thanks to everyone who came... A lot did not make it cause of the storm to the West, so it was a small group. It was a lot wetter out there this time. But the base was still frozen, just found a few bad spots. Great group of guys!
I got sick later that evening and ended up sleeping most of today, just starting to feel better now. It was a cold and windy one, I have no control of the weather... But everyone did seem to enjoy themselves.

Liked it a lot. Have some new tools in my toolbox for the coming season.
Would have liked a footrub by hooters girls around a campfire at the end.
Chili hit the spot.
Big thanks to Dan and crew and the MI gentleman who gave me directions to a potential marsh hunting spot near me, that's gold.

Re: 2017 public land scouting workshop / Saturday Feb. 25th
After processing some of the information from the workshop for a bit here are a few of my thoughts.
Don't be afraid to setup close to beds.
Bucks and does might be bedded closer together than you might realize.
Spending extra time to find spots that are easier to hunt is worth the effort. This may mean passing over some areas with nice bucks.
I think I may also be reevaluating some areas for forced movement possiblys.
Thanks Dan and crew

It's when either you or other hunters are moving deer. Usually on purpose. Or maybe by accident?
