We stayed at the comfort suites in Johnson Creek, it was more expensive than others but very clean and nice.

Johnson creek or Oconomowoc... If your sticking around oconomowoc has more to do than johnson creek. When you search hotels in my area a hotel will pop up in Jefferson that is real cheap, and close. You DON'T want to stay there, trust me! Any of the others are fine.

If you are looking for a place to grab a beer Tappers in Johnson Creek was a nice neighborhood bar, the locals could tell we were not from Wisconsin and bought our drinks until closing time.

Sure, but try to make them blown up enough to see... Topo is a must for hilly and a good zoomed in aerial for low land.

Major blizzard coming through on Friday! I'm not one to let snow storms bother me but theyre talking 12-18" of snow and high winds in Red Wing MN on Friday.

If we can't make it I'm not going to be happy.

A couple hour drive is one thing but this is basically driving across 2 states

I just checked the weather here and Friday is supposed to be rain all day. Some light snow Friday night late... I-94 shouldn't be to bad. at least on this side of the state. Its going to be real cold Saturday morning, but looks like it should be clear.

Well that was a fun drive. 29* and rain that was only freezing on bridges, drove through a gnarly multi-car bangup. May be really slick by morning...
