swamps within the woods

Unread postby Rob loper » Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:45 pm

ok
its kinda hard to explain but i hunt marshes, farms, and big woods
my question about big woods is the swamps that are in the big woods cedar swamps, pine swamps, or just nasty swamps with oaks briar patches etc the ones you can not see on aerial photos or you can maybe with a pic from winter time
do i walk the edges of swamps or thickets look for the points and bowls of the edges? would this be a transition line within the woods?
i hope this makes sense lmao
so any change in vegetation or elevation {even though its very flat here} would be considered transition lines ?
and this is where you will find beds ?
i hope this is worded right lol

Sounds like you are on the right track, hit those transitions. Sometimes you have to head into the swamp a little ways and find an interior transition too, they aren't always close to the high ground. Put in your time scouting and you will eventually find something that will get you started, then just keep after it.
