Florida Post Season Scouting

Unread postby wmahunter » Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:46 am

Well temps are running about 85 degrees. Its hot. Finding the deer beds oh thats fun. Pine needles and leaves covered a lot of the bedding so now having to look for semi bare spots and depressions in the real nasty this stuff. Tripped and busted by but yesterday trying to get out of it. Vines everywhere and low scrub that is hard to walk through. Got tired after walking 3 miles. Did see 4 deer and 3 rabbits. That made it a least worth while.

I feel your pain. I snuck out for a short 2 hour scout and ended up slipping down a little 3 ft slope and into a creek and busted my but a second time climbing out the other side. You saw more game then I did. I did find a nice little parking lot bed that I was curious about on the way out talk about nasty thick and noisy that deer has it all going for him.
