Caught 60 walleyes- Shawl boys

Unread postby Singing Bridge » Wed Jul 10, 2013 9:48 am

It was a pretty decent morning for walleye, with the exception of dead calm water. I launched at Au Gres on Lake Huron, a port I haven't been to in a while. I ran at 25 mph with ping speed on max until I found what I was looking for. I set up and landed 4 right off the bat. I ended the morning landing well over 30 walleyes and kept a boat limit of 10. My brother duplicated my effort with his boat further south. We landed over 70 between us but we lost count after a while. Most of the throwbacks were sublegal, but we also released some keepers. Neither one of us will complain, and it was a lot better than going to work... 8-)

Now THAT would be something to post! I added an "s" to walleye, hopefully that will help.

One thing to add to my original post- it sure helps to have a great population of walleye to begin with. Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron have an excellent number of marble eyes.

Very nice batch of fish.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
