Brew City tournament

Unread postby adrenalin » Mon Aug 16, 2010 1:20 pm

Fished the Brew City Tournament yesterday. We prefished Friday with not so good results, but part of prefishing is finding out where the fish aren't. We fished 8 hours and caught 9 fish. At the end of the day we marked a ton of Lake Trout in 110 feet. So our plan was to go back their on Saturday and get some big trout and then run out to 300 feet where a buddy was getting some good action on Steelhead. So on Saturday we set up in 80 feet with few marks and trolled to 100 feet and the fish were still there. We started to get our trout off the bottom with a few big kings up higher. When we got our 6th trout(the limit) we pulled all of our deep lines up to where the kings were and finished out our limit. We killed the first 15 fish and ended up with 142.7 pounds and were the 3rd boat in. We took 9th place out of 115 boats. The winning team had a 17 pound lead over the second place boat with 174 pounds. All and all a fun 2 days of fishing.
