What's a big bear head wise and weight wise (dressed) to you?

As for me anything that's over that 200lb dressed range they really start to have that big bear look to me. An 18 Inch skull Is a very nice skull but when they hit that 19 Inch range their really getting BIG to me.

300 dressed is a big bear... 200 is a good bear. Not much into skull size.
Its like turkeys though, seems everybody exaggerates there true weights.

You aren't kidding there! It seems everyone shoots 300lb+ bear every year and no one shoots anything lighter. A few guys I know always tell me about there 300 or 400 pound bear they got that year. I always laugh to myself thinking, I want your scales. Most don't get weighed Is my take, just guesses.

true, I don't think many bears get weighed by scales, but by hunter guesses and I think bears are probably the most mis judged animal by weight, more so than turkeys.........That said a 300 plus live wieght bear to me is a big one.

I don't bear hunt, but I always said if I do go a bear would have to be tall enough that a full body mount would be at least my height (5'8"). Anything under 350lbs wouldn't be worth shooting for me. An 8 footer and/or a snaggle tooth would be sweet!
