Wounded Vet

Unread postby Mike Foss » Fri Apr 21, 2017 11:52 pm

Anyone know if there is a wounded Vet program in Wisconsin for hunting purposes? I am still looking as I have a bear tag to donate.

I don't know if this is exactly what you need or not, but there is a Heros Hunt for Vets in Wisconsin. Hope that can get you pointed in the right direction.

I just asked one of my facebook friends who is an army recruiter and personal trainer

Mike, my friend recommended getting in contact with john grenz. He runs a group called outfitters for patriots.

https://www.facebook.com/Outfitters-4-p ... 411992299/

Or

http://www.outfittersforpatriots.org

I dont have john grenz's contact info but you can send him a message on face book if you have it.

https://www.facebook.com/john.grenz.5

If you dont have facebook let me know and i can try to get you a phone number or email address.

My suggestion would be to contact the Wisconsin DAV. They should be able to connect you to some very deserving veterans.

Thank you for your generosity.

After searching for some time Northern Wisconsin Outfitters has finally located a Vet "Purple Heart" and are very excited to get this young man in the woods  . I will send baiting pictures & videos throughout the summer and do a live hunt thread when the September hunt arrives.

It looks like a real nice outfit. One of our biggest hurdles we would have of out of state participants is transportation issues and if that hunter is successful the transporting of the meat, hide etc. We have found a great organization in Wisconsin "Heroes Hunt for Wounded Warriors" that we are excited in building a relationship with.

Awesome good to hear. I'm in the process of getting hooked up with wishes to volunteer to help with the stuff they do in FL. I love the fact that none of their admin takes a paycheck from the org.
