Back at it this morning. Started off the second season with the Hogback. This site had great activity the last 24 hours but not a lot of size.

I've only tracked a handful of bears but that thick hide soaks up a lot of blood before it hits the ground. Not to mention the fat like you said. I'd imagine the hide would suck up even more considering you shot him from the ground.(which is awesome) From the treestand you get a lower exit for it to bleed from.

Set up a hunter last night with hopes he could tag his first bear. Boar showed up about 5 PM and offered a shot. He doesn't know what happened but end result was a swing and a miss. My guess based on the story is he got nervous and rushed the shot.

I'm gonna run one more time then pull everything. I have big bucks on my mind.
