Re: December 10th dead line
Well it was a tuff decision but I chose not to bear hunt in 2018, bought another preference point instead

Got my point yesterday.
Perfection is a dream, practice is hard work, and achieving a goal is making that goal a reality.

Re: December 10th dead line
I personally think this is insane that some states want hunters to put in for a tag this many months in advance. I would be sharing my thoughts with our dnr if they did this over here.
In Michigan we put in for bear in May for September start and January for turkey, April start. Which is more than enough time to process their tags, and hunters are close enough to season they are starting to think about it. Hope everyone makes it and glad you all got a whole day extension

Re: December 10th dead line
I like the way Wisconsin does it, by the time the hunter receives the notice that he has drawn the bear tag, it gives them enough time to book a hunt, put in for vacation time and plan ahead. I know all these things should be done ahead of time but a hunter is not guaranteed to draw.

Re: December 10th dead line
I agree Mike. It works out very well just the way it is.
When my fishing license expires at the end of March I renew everything including bear point and deer tags at the same time. Never have to worry about getting it done at the last minute before the deadline.

I do the same minus the bear stuff. Get everything in one go. The fishing license also expires on my birthday so its very hard to forget
I just go and get everything in one go. Back again in august for my doe tag, then get the other 2 during the season if needed
You have a monkey Mr. Munson?
