I thought so, couldn't tell if you flipped the gut flap neatly or not.

My buddy shot a 327 dressed, what would you guess live wt to be?
We've also gotten some 130-145 dressed as well, probably around 200'ish live?

Thx from one beer man to another bear man

Add 17% to dressed weight and you'll have live weight. There's a little variation depending on how fat the bear is, but this number was given to me by a biologist years ago and it's spot on almost all the time.

The hunters are excited and they have good reasons to be, the rain has stopped, sun is peaking threw the clouds, wind is out of the west, bears are hungry. I believe its going to be a good night and if it isn't, Saturday is suppose to be warmer and beautiful, great bear hunting weather. Will post results later.

Three bears shot, one recovered this morning. Nice respectible boar 223lbs and two first time bear hunters shot smaller ones. Tonight so far is perfect for bear hunting, hardly any wind compared to the last two night and almost 70 degrees. There waiting for the phone to ring.
