It's hard to visualize the impact with out actually seeing it.... They are extremely distructive and just nasty and mean. The deer don't get a break down here the hogs are always running them off.

Don't think you have to have a license, residents don't not sure about non resident. But they're not easy to kill, they have far better noses then deer, they move around a lot, and they're pretty much nocturnal..... But due to the numbers it's not hard to get on them in most areas.

I suppose it is probably not legal to kill and sell the pork from wild pigs?

Seems to me it would be good incentive to allow someone to start up a business doing this

We could probably significantly reduce the price of bacon :D

Anyone can hunt them but I'm pretty sure you will need a hunting license resident or non resident of you are on public land. If you are the landowner I think they can be killed under the depredation law but unless you are on private land with the landowner it might be hard to get by hunting them because of depredation.

Dave's right they're not the easiest animal to kill. It's easy to find where they've been and they can tear an area apart but sometimes they are hard to find.

Do they allow trapping them or would you have to use large box traps? I would have to imagin it would be a little impractical but I guess every little bit helps ya know.

Have the WI DNR come down there and teach them how to structure a herd reduction and then apply it to hogs. When they get done there won't be any left.

There was a forum I was on back before the Beast and they did that every year. A couple of the guys were from Texas. They seemed to have a ball.
