Re: FROM THE FIELD 2017 TURKEY SEASON
Tons of excitement and a lot of action. Just can't seem to seal the deal. I've heard way more gobbles than shot today. We have an hour and half to seal the deal.

Re: FROM THE FIELD 2017 TURKEY SEASON
Another public tom down... my buddy hunted hard all 2ND season. I told him if he didn't have one down by the weekend I'd take him out. Between yesterday and today we walked almost 10 miles. Had nearly 20 close encounters. Finally if came together for us this morning on a spot and stalk

Re: FROM THE FIELD 2017 TURKEY SEASON
Good morning here in the keystone state! Got set up in a cut soybean field at 4:30 with 2 hens and a Jake decoy. 2 birds started gobbling around 6 and had one dusted by 6:30. Just in time to clean him and go to work!! Tag #1 filled now for tag 2.
He's about 20lbs half inch spurs and 7-8" beards. Haven't put the tape to him yet just guessing.

Re: FROM THE FIELD 2017 TURKEY SEASON
PA opener on Saturday was crazy. Not a whole lot of gobbling on the roost but birds fired up around 7 and the gobbling didn't end till the trigger pull at 10:05. I put some serious boot leather on 3 separate flocks before killing this bird 100 yards from the truck
I've got another tag I'm saving for a longbeard. Man did he taste good!

Re: FROM THE FIELD 2017 TURKEY SEASON
NY opener today, and just got my but whipped by a tom and 3 hens. To many eyes to get drawn back after fly down. After a quick scout yesterday I had an idea on where they were headed to so I made my move. They stayed one ridge lower. I made another move this time the tom and 1 hen came through but wouldn't come in close enough. They continued back over to private. A lot of birds in the area

Re: FROM THE FIELD 2017 TURKEY SEASON
tbunao sounds like an awesome time!! Im sure you will keep after em, good luck man!!
Congrats to the killers this weekend! Late season in my area gets fun, pressured call shy gobblers out looking for love
Connected Saturday am with a very excited gobbler, 22lbs double beard 10" and a very thin 9" (maybe 10 strands) with 1" spurs
Close but not close enough yesterday morning
Hope to be out after them this week one day
