Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
Doing an observation sit behind my house to see if I should sit here for opener. Have a safe wind and plenty far from my exact tree.
Acorns are falling so fast a buck could sit in his bed with his mouth open and get full.

Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
So freakin close. It couldn't have gone any better tonight minus a dead buck. Had an 8 and a 10 come in together at about 7:20 just wide of my lane and range do to cover the circled around to my right and stood there for a solid 10 minutes just hanging out. I threw a soft grunt out and they cut back across the same way they came with no shot and too dark. Crazy thing is I just found the spot Friday and sat in the bed and totally coonfingered the place. All the scrapes had 3+ finger tracks in them and I figured 3.5 yro. Hot sign is hot sign but I'm thinking they were looking hard for what was invading there space. Man it's gets the blood pumping. Love this stuff!

10.5 hrs of sitting. 0 deer spotted. I figured I was either going to see a good one or nothing.

Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
One doe that will live to see another day. The day was split between a stand and my new saddle system. 430AM to 730pm. I wish more than anything that Maine allowed hunting on Sunday, because I would love to do it all again tomorrow.
Until next weekend...

Saw a dead 6pt in waukesha county last week with zero velvet, and saw a group of bucks in full velvet in waupaca county this morning next to the freeway. Couple nice ones, should be in velvet next weekend still.
You have a monkey Mr. Munson?

First sit of the year hang and hunt on picked corn field in NC. Little windy but Irma is pushing in and should get them on their feet to feed before the down pours start early in the morning. Been watching 3 shooters one is a giant, just waiting for the right day to move in!!!

Back at it tonight. Basically working my way through different spots...changing with the wind direction. Hunting lower impact spots first and working my way through the property. No deer spotted yet. About 45 min left.

Well ended up see one of the shooters and 3 doe. Only problem he came out in the wrong spot and never worked his way to me. Good news is he never knew I was there so I should get another crack at him. All the doe got within 30yds or less and also never knew I was there. No arrows lost tonight!!!

Dress lightly.
I'm surrounded by water so that idea won't apply here.

Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
Similar weather here in southern, MN. Going to be about 80 degrees Saturday and a big thunderstorm in the afternoon. Sunday should be about 10 degrees cooler. Im going to hunt my only private piece Saturday morning and then depending on the wind hit up a public marsh on Saturday evening. Sunday I'll probably do the same rotation in different spots. Can't wait!
On a side note, my wife (who works from home) called me today at lunch and said the biggest buck she has ever seen ran behind our house. She see's a lot of buck pictures so I am confident it was indeed a biggun.....probably just a fluke but may have to do an observation stand from my back window of the house this weekend
