I'm looking forward to lowering him down from the buck pole and capturing a nice photo with my family beside me. My daughter is only 22-mo old and already says deer and points at them on the wall and gets a kick out of it when I bring another one home. My son, although he's only 5.5-mo old, is sure to be an up-and-coming hunter. The pictures may not mean anything to them now, but I'm certain these photos will be fun to look back on when they're older.

Boy what a relief. You all know the relief I'm talking about, it's the "I can sleep in", and the "I can relax at home and have dinner with the family" notion that sure does tickle a guy after a long hard season chasing. While I'll make time for a late season doe hunt, or two, it sure feels good to rest now.

Awesome Sam, congrats on a cool buck. I was on the ground in some tangled mess last saturday and caught a doe moving my way. No buck following though
