I forgot to apply this year. Wisconsin is one of those weird states where the spring application closes before the fall hunting season is even over. So I will be doing leftover this year. In the past, the best I earliest I could ever draw was C.

I'm not seeing anything on my end. Just submitted applications.

Did anyone draw in a Zone other than 1 or 2?

Looks like leftovers for me. I didn't draw again - 2nd time in the last 4 years this has happened. I put in for Zone 2 periods A and B - apparently like a lot of other people did.

My son drew so I'll help him to try and shoot one.

Holy cow...my state can't give enough turkey tags away. Non residents can hunt with a small games license and turkey tags are $20 and you get 2 spring tags.

We used to be a draw stare buy turkeys took off and have done quite well.

If it makes you feel any better I've done quite well in D-F in previous years.

I've heard this from a 4 people this year. Out of curiosity, how did you fill out your application? The other guys I talked to said they put their zone, then chose period 1 for first choice, Period 2 for second, and then did not choose a Zone for the third option. Of 6 guys that put a Zone for third, 4 got period 1, 2 got period 2. None of the 4 guys that left third choice blank drew.

I'll still go 5th and/or 6th season as those will be the only leftover tags available in Zone 2. I have had some success 5th & 6th seasons but for me it's just not the same as the first 2 seasons. I'll try to make the best of it.

I left the last choice blank as well and didn't draw. That being said, I've heard a fair number of people upset they drew a period D tag by filling in the last portion...a tag that would have been over the counter.

I haven't heard of anyone that left last choice blank drawing a tag. And, also haven't heard anyone that put in a choice for third not drawing a tag. Talked to a bunch of people today too. Seems odd. Wonder if there was a computer glitch?
