Velvet buck almost done

Unread postby Bigburner » Wed Oct 09, 2019 10:55 pm

I got an early morning text from my taxidermist. When I dropped this guy off he said a month for him to have it pinned up and drying. He said I’ll be able to get it by the end of November. He told me thanks for getting it to him in such good shape and he was really happy with how it came out. Always nice to hear from him that he was happy with his own work. I picked out a head down pose turned to the right. He said it was a relatively new form. I looked around all his examples and that one stuck out to me. His Cape was so nice. He hadn’t started getting any guard hairs and the velvet looks outstanding.
Very happy with it.

Yea I love the way deer look in their summer coats. Maybe cause it reminds me of the deer here at home.

Your taxi is crazy. I am still waiting for my mounts from last Nov...

Looks great man.
