Dan, did you find the deer Dave shot at?

He gut shot it... It ran towards him into a thick patch of brush about 20yards around and Dave could see all the way around it from his stand. I waited 20 minutes then creeped over with my rifle and Dave climbed down and we briefly discussed circling the brush on each side then one of us going in. When we got in there you could see dark liver like blood where the deer stood for 20 minutes and some back hairs indicating a high hit. We figured out that when he came down and we talked the buck snuck out past us 20 yards away. tracks show it snuck till it hit good cover then bolted... We followed the running tracks across 4 farms and then lost it. Searched most of the bedding up to propertys We could not go on. Sad... its a dead deer. Dave is really bummed.

Look for turkey vultures circling above? Friend of mine found his like that this year.

That sucks but that’s hunting.
