Finally gettin my first bow buck mounted
The rack of my first buck is going to the taxidermist this week. I shot him with a bow in '99 when I was 14. I can't wait to get him back. Here's a couple pics.

Dandy buck for sure.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

That is a good one. Look forward to the finished mount.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

I was sitting in a old ladder stand at the end of a tree row between 2 crop fields. Along the edge of the field to my left was a super thick bedding area. A decent 8 point had came by me from the hayfield behind me, I decided to pass on him. After he passed I was wishing I had shot him, so I started trying to grunt him back. Then I heard something crashing down the trail through the thick bedding, I looked over and saw nothing but a massive rack above the brush fast approaching the end of the thicket that was 15 yds away. I stood up and came to full draw. He gets to the end of the thicket and sticks his head out and stops!! It seemed like he stood there for 10 min because I was drew back. Finally he steps out and quarters hard away, I put my pin at his last rib, aiming for his offside shoulder and let it fly. He gave a mule kick and ran into the timber 50yds away! I was so excited I climbed down and forgot to even look for my arrow. Walked to the house and told my older brother I had shot a big one! He says how big? I said big! We gave him a couple hours and drive the truck back to find him. We was driving along the timber headed back to where I shot him and I looked over in the timber and there he laid. He didn't go 100yds. 15 points. Grossed 163
