Scouting workshop Saturday February 6th

Unread postby dan » Sat Jan 09, 2016 4:37 am

Anybody interested in a scouting workshop February 6th?

we discuss scouting & hunting a small private farm, and some public land... Should be similar to last years scouting workshop except I might mix it up a bit...

We will talk about where bucks bed, look at the beds, look at the sign around the beds, talk about why and when they bed in the locations, and how to use this data to kill the buck. We will look at some of my actual set ups, some very close to buck beds, some farther back and discuss the set ups... Several of the bucks I have killed have been from these set ups. We will also talk about how bedding has changed over time in these spots.

We will have a meal at my house afterwords, with plenty of time to make sure no question goes unanswered. Feel free to bring maps and topo's of your property and after the meal, have me look at them.

Cost will be $150 per person. You may bring your kids under 18 free... I like to encourage kids learning and feel if they had to pay, parents would leave them behind.

Who is interested? Post here if you are.
If you would like to read some of the threads from past scouting work shops they give a good idea of what to expect. Feel free to post any questions or concerns.

Quick question. How many people is too many? I have a couple of friends who may be interested in attending with me if I go.

I would like to attend. I have 2 friends that are interested in coming too if it isn't full.
It's not the knowing that's difficult, but the doing.
