Millennium M7-Anyone Using?

Unread postby BA-IV » Thu Aug 24, 2017 1:19 pm

Has anyone used one for running and gunning yet?

I've got one with stick talons and stealth stripped out as of today but wanted to pick some guys brains that use one regularly.

I bought it for the seat...I was looking at whether or not to put this XOP bracket on it or just use the receiver.

Thought about trying a lw strap like that but never tried, do you have a batwing on it on the pole? If not is it stable?

I don't have a batwing on it yet.

If I put it on there I might just weld it on, but haven't decided whether I want to use the bracket or just the LW strap.

I have one and the seat is great and is nice and compact and light. I hook it up using receiver and strap very similar to last pic. I really wanted to ditch the receiver and use a batwing. I did drill a hole for it but screwed up and made the hole to low and the head of screw is where bolt would rest on post in down position  . I think I have just eneough room to drill it higher just under the bolt that attached seat to post but I wont be able to raise seat all the way up. This way I could use a strap similar to a lonewolf with a small carabiner and wrap around tree and leave a little slack and drop the end that goes into the reciever behind the strap and tighten. I think it would be quieter and lighter. I have also thought about removing the whole attachment on the back and attach versa button. That would save a little more weight but make it a little harder to hang.

The only downside is no platform or seat adjustment. If you need to make the seat higher you could always have a few shims at different diameters and tape one on to the post once you get settled in.

I've also considered welding the batwing on the back? And not even worrying bout drilling a hole.

I am considering maybe some shims made out of teflon or some other heavy duty material.

I have an M60 and have used it without the receiver before. I forgot the receiver and improvised. I took one of my LW straps off of my stick and used it in place of the recvier. I just put the loops through the bracket and kind of cam locked it. Worked fine and was stable. I'm going to put a versa button on it for this season. The receiver is kind of a pain.

I could be wrong but I think for the batwing to be totally effective it needs to pivot a little? What kind of sticks you using and how to do run them with the talons?

I'm using XOP sticks stealth stripped on the talons. I run two locked to each other on either side. Why I bought the XOP sticks because they locked together and were solid and noise free no rattling bungee strapped.

You might be right about the batwing, heck better look at doing it differently!
