That dog didn’t look like it was doing too good. Wonder if he accidentally hit it with the machete? Some of those blows looked darn close. Obviously that cat got it too and wasn’t letting go. :shock:

Oh yeah……he needs to sharpen that blade.

Mess with my dog and similar would happen. I'm always carrying so I would have just put the barrel up to its head and shot it point blank.

Nah man, when a cougar hits an elk they sever the spinal cord they drive their canines into the back of the neck. That dog probably got the same treatment. I noticed that dog was standing before the attack but couldn’t get up afterwards. I’d bet that cougar incapacitated that dog.

Those little ones are often the culprits for bad interactions. Momma kicks them out, they haven’t gotten good at hunting for themselves yet and get desperately hungry. Then they do stuff like that. Bad deal all around.
