Cedar Key FL May 22

Unread postby Rich M » Mon May 16, 2022 3:24 am

Just finished vacation.

Went w parent and cousin. Cousin’s wife gave everyone a cold. I ended up sleeping 20 hrs straight. Woke up and asked dad how he was, he said virtigo, lets go fishing. Then he caught the 30# drum 20-30 minutes later. LoL.

I got mine the next day. We also got a bunch of trout on corks n jigs. Brought home 12 or so trout. Released many more.

Dad had a serious fish grab his cork pn 2 occasions. No idea ehat it was. Boil bigger than a garbage can lid with loud noise to go with it. Mystery fish. That and the drum made the trip for him.

It’s a nice place. Quaint and friendly during the week. Weekend is pretty busy.

I like Cedar Key, but it's kinda crowded and touristy. I like to go on a colder day. But then it's harder to catch fish.
Twigs in my hair, don't care.

It doesn't take much to crowd it...it is so small
