Ha! 1 deep freeze. I typically don’t keep the bigger fish. Just do a hero shot to make myself feel special. I’m also not usually a meat hound. Was a crazy year with the Covid crap. Grocery stores were out of almost everything at the beginning. Most of these folks in my area are elderly and I’ve known them since I could walk. Just try to take care of my own. But although my deep freeze ain’t big, I have one heck of a deep fryer and I enjoy eating the suckers Lots of folks can catch more of em but I always say a guy is hard pressed to eat more fish than my family does.

Typically I do just as u do and portion them out accordingly. I do throw one or 2 big shin digs a year and use the biggest bags I can find. In previous years I donate to the local chapter FFA/4H for a fundraiser. They didn’t have one this year due to the Covid crisis. I also have sweet talked my way into trading fish/fishing trips for hunting permission. To some it might look like I do really well, but the reality is in any given year I need more than I can catch. I don’t waste em, and enjoy a fried crappie dinner more than most can wrap there head around. At the same time I enjoy the feeling of helping out others and chasing good bucks. Suppose it’s a good problem to have
