2022 Colorado Archery Elk Trip

It’s almost time.
My fiancé and I leave in 36 days for Colorado to chase elk for 10 days.
We’re both very excited, and she’s nervous, mostly about bears, lol.
It’s her first year bow hunting, her first out of state hunting trip, and her first time in the mountains.
Should be fun.
I’ll try to post pics, and updates when I have signal out there.

Have a great time out there. So cool you are going with your wife to be. Travel safe and have a great time. The west is awesome, enjoy it and move, move, move until you get into elk. Don't be afraid to chat it up with the locals, everytime I was out there they were very helpful.

I’ve got 3 spots planned with 2 backups.
My girl is really excited and nervous.
She’s worried about bears, elevation sickness, and letting me down. She’s going to do great. I’m not worried at all. Just hope I can put her on a bull.
We shall see what Colorado brings this year.

Well, it’s a little late but Colorado 2022 is in the books.
We had a blast. Didn’t kill anything but Amy loved it and got to see a bull elk up close. Even pulled her bow back but it wasn’t meant to be.
Found a bull moose shed. Made some new friends.
It was great.
Can’t wait for next year!
