Buddy goes every year and selectively score...
He say there is a good amount of whitetail too, got a double brow tined 13 pointer about 5 years back...
Go for it!

Re: Wy mule deer
You need to check on the winter kill - they've been losing some critters this year in some areas. It could impact the number of hunters changing from hunting those areas to the spots with less winter kill.
4 pts and a special draw might-could be a good thing.

How far east are you talking? We bow hunt the bighorns but have had to head east to gun hunt depending on snow. Check your regions draw results; many can get a general tag at the "special" price with no points every year.

Re: Wy mule deer
IMO, I wouldn't use 4 pp on a general tag in eastern WY. Do you have points? Will you be hunting too and averaging points with him?
Season dates vary with some starting in early Oct. and some in Nov.
Public or private?
Need more info on what you are looking for.
