The article said the antlers look bigger cause the guy is standing behind them! The reason the guy is standing so far behind the skull! Is because the dang main beams are darned long! Anybody that knows much about elk! Knows that's a huge one! As long as it ain't some kind of fake! And while looking at it on a bigger laptop screen. It don't look fake to me!

Even though the mountains aren't considered tall! The area around Troy, Mt. is pretty rugged and thick! Lots of places a shy bull could hide long enough. To grow that big! Heard of and seen pics of some slammers being shot up in that part of the state! When I was still living in MT! Big whitetail bucks too! In that country!
Happiness is a large gutpile!!!!!!!

Nothing in Montana but man eating grizzlies, I'd steer clear and live to fight another day.
