Snakes this year.

Unread postby Tennhunter3 » Sun Aug 14, 2022 8:28 am

This month I'm not sure why I have been killing snakes everywhere. Be careful out scouting everyone.

Killed another copperhead.

And this one.
Several others I didn't take pics of.
Funny I watch thp hunt all over and rarely see a snake I come across them on most scouting trips.

I don't kill em. Dont really see the need to. Used to.

Plenty of times they could have got me but they didn't. So I stopped.

August and September are usually the worst months for seeing them for me. I’ve seen two copperheads and the roads at my house rucking at daylight recently. I see more on the roads at the house than I do in the woods.

I've come across 3 rattlers in SE Ohio so far this year. Don't think thr population is up, I'm just in there wheel house according to the DNR's tracking of them.

I'm a snake expert too.
A expert of exterminating the threat so it doesn't harm other hikers, hunters or fishermen. Killl a snake today to save a life tomorrow.

Story talks about snakes being rare ha I run into like a hundred a year . Article talks about snakes rarely strike umm he is dead because that rare thing happened.

My daughter's friend's little 2 years old sister was just bit by a rattlesnake a couple weeks ago while on vacation. Had to be flown flight for life to the nearest hospital an hour away. Easily could've died. Apparently she had to be given 10 vials of antivenom. Totally on board with people killing snakes to prevent that from happening.

Hate to hear that I wish states wildlife resources cared about humans as much as they do rattlesnakes.

Even if someone survives the bite the injurys never fully heal. Sadly they have to often go through many surgeries if bitten by a cotton mouth or rattlesnake.

Then theirs the hundreds of thousands of dollers the surgerys hospitalization and antivenom cost that will never be paid off by most families.

Yeah hopefully she doesn't have to go through too much more. Saw her the other day and her entire leg below the knee was all bruised. Apparently her entire leg was swollen to twice the size it should be after it happened. She's doing well now from what I hear.

Rather than kill them, you should probably Mail them to Pelosi

If a snake bit Pelosi the snake would die of alcohol poisoning. We also have enough snakes in congress.
