Ireland used to be the place to go snipe shooting I wouldn't imagine much has changed

Hunted them a couple times here in FL. A riot of a hunt, they're quick. Always seemed to do the best finding them in grassy ankle deep water. Table fair like duck, breast about the size of your thumb. Congrats.

We have lots of snipe here in South Louisiana. Hunted them every chance I could get growing up. Became a quick draw shooter chasing them lil boogers As other folks mentioned we’d find them where there was standing water. For us that was harvested sugar cane fields. My last snipe hunt growing up was memorable. Found a cane patch that was harvested with 100’s of snipe !! My cousin would sit one side and me on the other. As they came to me I’d drop a couple. They’d fly to his side and he’d drop a couple. We did this until we limited out. The good old days. Now all that land is neighborhoods
