What have you been seeing, any success?

I haven't been out yet, and have not seen many driving around this summer.

Used to hunt grouse in NE VT. Was always a lot of fun - with and without dogs. Always shot more without dogs. LOL!

Folks had some grouse w chicks in their yard this summer, so at least there the hatch was good. Wasn't too wet in the spring.

Its been a few seasons here in Pa since ive flushed one. Years ago they were everywhere they were supposed to be. I would really love to witness that, it was before my time. I do hunt pheasant with my vizsla though, but of coarse those are stocked by the state.

I was out hiking the weekend before it opened here and kicked up 9-10 of them in a couple hours.
I'm sure many were younger ones, but I was surprised to have kicked up that many, everybody keeps saying the numbers are down.
I haven't been out hunting them yet, it been to warm for me so far.
