Non-toxic shot

Unread postby Rich3006 » Tue Feb 14, 2023 4:57 pm

More and more areas are going to non-toxic shot for dove hunting. California requires it for everything. Seems it will probably be a federal requirement for doves In the next 5 to 10 years.

Steel has been improved greatly in the last 30 years but is still not the best and still allot of old guns that can't shoot it. Bismuth is awesome but is expensive. Tungsten is too expensive for doves. Are there any companies working on a better cost efficient non-toxic shotshell for high volume shooters?

It's a bunch of crap... I have cases of lead shot that can't be used on public. I'd be interested in hearing what guys are using.
