Pocket survival kit

Unread postby Rich3006 » Wed Feb 15, 2023 7:08 pm

Anyone keep a pocket survival kit?

I'm gonna make a few like I was taught in the Army.

Container is a soap dish.

Inside will be a small knife, wire, fishing line, hooks, needles buttons, iodine dropper, unlubed condoms, boulon cubes, a small mirror, magnesium fire starter, some duck tape, Vaseline coated cotton balls and super glue. Wrap the outside with duck tape then wrap with para cord.

Most of the time I have basics close by.

In my vehicle I have a bag that I could use for a week or so easily.

I used to carry a mini pocket edc. Lately these are part of my car bag.
Franel lens, small Bic, ,tiny ferro rod , small pocket knife, 25 feet of tiny Kevlar cordage. Few band aids ,tape wrapped around lighter. 10 feet of survival paracord.. A tiny container with a few fish hooks. A few water purification tabs from Katadyn.
It easily fit in my pockets.

There's plastic bottles ,cans all in woods and along roads while they may be filthy in a emergency they would be fine with the Katadyn tabs for short term use.

In my vehicle bag I have alot more such as a poncho , survival blanket, tiny hammock ,single wall bottle better first aid, sawyer mini ect.
