I'm starting to get ice fishing on my mind more. I want to see topography of the lake, cribs- structure and any know proven areas for fishing. Not sure if an app like this exists. But I'm curious about what has worked well for you guys.

I have that on my phone and it works very well. Before I had a gps on my boat it really came in handy. Later compared it to my Humminbird with Lakemaster chip and Navionics app was right on.

I downloaded it onto my tablet and just used it for lake topos. The details are top notch IMO.

I've never really had an actual GPS or map chip device to compare to but I've been happy with Navionics on my phone. Not sure how precise it is but it seems to at least get me close to where I want to be and that has helped me a lot.

I use navionics for poygan and winnebago. I'm not good enough with it to get me spot on but I can find my old holes with ease. Plus with those two lakes, there is no exact spot to fish.

So i bought the app. It looks like it's exactly what I was looking for. Some lakes even have cribs and hotspots marked. Perfect. Thanks guys.

Re: Navigation app for the ice
If you plan on using the app a lot while fishing I suggest getting something like this. Running navionics in the cold will drain your battery very quickly.

I got one two years ago and it was honestly one of my best purchases I have ever made. Keep it in your jacket so your phone is always charged. I found a great spot in Lacrosse that I couldn't mark on navionics for the future cause my phone died. I use this thing all the time hunting, fishing, at school, you name it. My battery fully charged can charge my iphone from dead to 100% 5-6 times per charge on the battery.
