I mentioned this whole scenario to a couple people at the Deer Hunter Podcast deer camp. And Jordan Brown of Michigan Out of Doors TV, said, "you sure they aren't otters, that sounds like otters". I said no, I am not sure. But I do know that no new trees are being chomped. I saw them for about a week straight first week of October right at about 9pm +/- almost every night. Wonder if they followed the fish up in the channel and were hammering on them.

Sounds like otters for sure if there is beavers there will be new trees chewed. Otters swim in family's often and are quite playful.
