I want to try and do a euro mount on my buck I got last fall but I’m trying to figure out how to keep the tree bark still attached to the horns on. Does anybody know what would be the best way to do such a thing?

Beetles would prob be best way to do that. But you could try tinfoil and electrical tape real tight. I’ve done it once and wasn’t impressed it kinda made it a gummy mess. I just ended up cleaning it all out.

I boil mine. I used to have the actual Buck Boiler but burned it out after a while. I went to using a submersible bucket heater you can get at your local farm store, but have now switched to a single burner hot plate and a canning pot.
If you boil them, plan on soaking them in water with Dawn or another degreaser to get the fat out of the bone. Otherwise, a greasy stain will grow on the forehead over time.
Just as an FYI- the nose bones fall out consistently on bucks that are <4 years old, but not after that age range typically.
Here’s this year’s:

And a bracket I made with from a screw in hook and scrap metal:

I did mine from this last season with warm water maceration. The smaller one I tried not skinning it and used a fish tank heater that was too small and it took 2 months to clean up. The bigger one I bought a 300w heater and skinned the head and it was clean in 3-4 weeks. It's certainly smelly but not very time consuming. Only have to change the water out once a week once it's skinned. The brain just liquefies and dumps out the hole in the back. I did mine in 5 gallon buckets and my only expenses were a box of disposable gloves and the 300 w tank heater was like 15 or 20 bucks. I haven't done anything to whiten yet as they came out pretty light and have gotten lighter since.

I boiled one in my brother-in-law's garage once. I don't remember him being too happy with it, but that's the best place to boil :D

I think that color looks pretty cool the way it is.
